Race: Half Snow Leopard/Ounce [Uncia uncia] Shapeshifter/Half Human[City Slave]
Physical Details:
Only at 5'5" Jui's small height is backed up by the leopard blood inside of him which enables him to jump higher than a normal human is capable of. The strong pure shapeshifter blood that his father had affected him a bit, allowing him to sometimes change parts of his body at will. The parts he chooses to set himself aside from humans is keeping his yellowish leopard eyes and tail visible in human form. Right before he was sold into the city, his father gave him a "present" that was to remind him of his place in life: a carving of the kanji for slave running down his back which is only visible in his human form and hidden by fur in leopard form.
Personality: After growing up with slaves who were too afraid to act, he's learned to appreciate and have a good out look on a life. Jui likes helping others in need, unless it's a command from a "master." He believes he should be treated equally as vampires and shapeshifters and will put up a fight if treated as a slave.
Background:
A shapeshifter and an enslaved human were what brought Jui into the world. Jui’s father was a snow leopard shapeshifter who left Central Asia due to poaching and came to Kyuusho Kyusai. In the city, Jui’s father earned wealth along with many human slaves, one being Jui’s mother. The woman fell in love with the shapeshifter, eventually having his half human/half shapeshifter child, Jui.
Jui was born into slavery, but after much begging and pleading on behalf of his mother, his slave collar was set aside. The fact that his mother was a slave despite how much she loved his father angered Jui. Even though he was not to do any work, but live well pampered he would often help his mother and the other slaves he lived with. At times he would entertain them or cause mischief in his snow leopard form and became the center of attention. Sometimes he would try to reason with the slaves and his mother to free themselves, rise against his father, but either they were too afraid of getting hurt or how they would live afterwards.
The friendship Jui developed with the household slaves angered his father, but he did not care. Eventually, his mother died of old age and the loss of one slave was soon to be replaced by another. The slave collar that was set aside years ago was forcibly put around Jui’s neck, taking away any freedom he once had.
Though he was now a slave, he refused to do anything his father told him to, even if there was pain in return. Jui learned to fight back and the up rise led to him being sold to the city. Now a city slave, he resides in Sanctuary, but has taken up residence in the non-slave rooms, still refusing to be a slave for others.
